8 Minute Broiled Salmon

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon steaks , 6 to 7 ounces ea., 1" thick or more, skin on
  • 3 garlic cloves , slivered
  • 3 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • salt
  • sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • Whisk together the garlic, lime juice, soy sauce, oil. and honey in a small bowl
  • Lightly salt the salmon and place in a zip lock bag with 1/2 of the marinade
  • Remove as much air as possible, seal, and set aside for 30 minutes.
  • Place the salmon on a sizzle platter or a rimmed baking pan and coat with 1/2 of the reserved marinade.
  • Place under the broiler, about 7 inches from the burner, for 5 to 6 minutes
  • Coat the salmon again with the remaining reserved marinade and broil for 2 more minutes.
  • Remove from the oven, sprinkle with sesame seeds and tent with foil for 3 or 4 minutes.
  • Serve your delicious salmon
